Alexander Shapiro – Chinese Women Over 30: What makes them tick and click?

China’s economy is not only one of the largest in the world, but also one of the fastest growing. At NEXT Berlin 2012 Alexander Shapiro explained why this development was accompanied by fundamental changes in terms of consumption and internet usage.

In his talk Shapiro introduced three key areas which should be considered when attempting to understand and target Chinese women over 30. Of course, the Chinese culture differs strongly from Western European cultures.

Shapiro knows both worlds very well: He executed various marketing strategies for international brands and is now living and working in Bejing. Because of this, he delivered a captivating keynote full of facts about the Chinese culture and especially Chinese women. It was a fascinating dissertation, and not only from a marketing point of view.
