Since its foundation in 1998, netzpiloten.de has become one of the leading online magazines reporting on news about the digital world. Its chief editor, Wolfgang Macht, has now published the book ‘Wir ohne Grenzen’ (engl. We without Borders) together with co-author Katrin Viertel.

“We realized that families and companies have the same questions about social media”, Macht explained at NEXT Berlin. Therefore the book addresses both corporations and private persons offering them guidelines on how to deal with social media.

Wolfgang Macht is CEO of Netzpiloten AG, which was founded in 1996. The Hamburg-based company currently maintains several online platforms, amongst them the already mentioned magazine netzpiloten.de.

Katrin Viertel is currently writing her doctoral thesis at University Bremen. She also works as a freelance journalist, conducts workshops and training courses. Her work deals with the effects of media and media pedagogy.
