Darren Devitt, Vuze

Darren Devitt is currently European head of sales at Vuze, a Silicon Valley based broadband entertainment start up with global reach and cutting edge HD content.

He has been in the media sector for 14 years' and has been involved in three other successful online start-ups/launches. His career began in press at VNU and The Guardian before migrating online in 2000 to join the launch team of Ask Jeeves where he lead the UK agency sales team. In 2004 Devitt completed his Masters in publishing at the University of the Arts, London.

In 2006 another start-up he joined, the ad network MediaBrokers, was acquired by aQuantive, who in turn were recently acquired by Microsoft. His involvement with broadband video started in 2007 when he joined ITV to lead a sales team for the launch of their online catch up service where he was involved in projects such as 2007 Rugby World Cup, Britain's Got Talent and X Factor.
