Holger Schmidt, FAZ

Holger Schmidt works on the business editorial team of the FAZ, where he is responsible for topics relating to the Internet, the environment, energy, and video games as well as the weekly "Netzwirtschaft" page. As Internet Coordinator, he facilitates cooperation between the newspaper and online editorial staff for the FAZ website.

He gained his first journalism experience at the Rhein-Zeitung while he was finishing secondary school. He then studied economics, worked as an assistant at the Department for Developing Country Research in Gießen, and earned a doctorate with a dissertation on the international redistributive effects of climate protection. Shortly afterwards, he joined the business editorial staff of the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung.
