Philipp Kandal, skobbler

Philipp Kandal is co-founder and CTO of skobbler. Skobbler was started in September 2008 as a management buyout from the navigation manufacturer Navigon. As most recent achievement skobbler has won the Navteq LBS challenge 2009 as the most innovative European LBS start-up.

Kandal is in charge of coordinating the work of the Romanian development team and the German product management. Currently he is most occupied with the launch of skobbler for iPhone and Android platforms.

Prior to skobbler Kandal was product manager at Navigon responsible for the majority of the mobile phone navigation products. Before that he gained first experiences in the LBS and navigation industry as a technology consultant for Siemens VDO.
