The Speakers of 2010

SinnerSchrader invites you to share your ideas, innovations, success stories, case studies, and lessons learned at the next conference in May 2010 at STATION-Berlin. From start-ups to enterprises, from Internet and technology to advertising and media, from developers and creatives to decision makers, if you're shaping the interactive trends in Europe, we want to hear from you.

Main Theme

The motto for the next conference is Game Changers. Game Changers break rules and redefine business models. They are innovative and take risks, free from the burdens of mass marketing and mainstream. Companies that change the game bet on disruptive innovations to create new products and services, they don't leave it at continuous improvement of the present.

At next10, you are going to get to know the Game Changers: visionaries, strategies, companies and products that do more than just innovate - they break rules. As we couldn't run the conference without you, the next community, we'd like your input. Help us setting the agenda for an outstanding conference! We currently focus on web- and IP-based technology use in the following industries:

  • Automotive
  • Banking
  • Retail, E-Commerce and FMCG
  • Mobile
  • Media, Entertainment and Advertising
  • Travel & Tourism
  • Health Care

We are looking forward to creating a comprehensive list of true Game Changers with your help!

Sponsored Sessions

A limited number of speaking opportunities are also available through conference sponsorship. Contact Martin Recke at m.recke@next-conference.com.

Session Formats

You may submit to speak in a 30 minute slot or participate in a discussion panel. The 30 minute conference sessions can be a single speaker, co-presentation, or a panel.

What to Submit

We want to hear about interesting work from entrepreneurs, developers, designers, marketers, and business strategists. Presentations of a commercial nature, or promoting a particular product or platform, are given lower priority. Proposals may be inspirational, practical, or both, but should derive from the speaker's first-hand knowledge and experience. Specificity is also helpful; topics like "How To Be Successful with Social Media" are generally too broad to be useful for the audience, whereas a topic like "Simplifying Analytics for Marketeers - a Showcase" has a clear benefit.

More Tips for Submitting a Proposal

By submitting your proposal, you agree to our speakers policy.

Unsure about the Dos and Don'ts? You might want to read Jennifer Pahlka's piece on how to write a successful speaking proposal.

Important Dates

You can submit your proposal now. This Call for Participation will be open at least until February 12, 2010.

It is a big step for us: We are moving the next conference to Berlin! SinnerSchrader and STATION-Berlin will jointly host next10 on May 11 & 12, 2010. With this move we aim to build the next conference in Berlin into the leading European conference for the digital and creative industry.

The main topic of next10 is Game Changers. Game Changers break rules and redefine business models. They are innovative and take risks, free from the burdens of mass marketing and mainstream. The world is full of Game Changers. At next10 we will show the most interesting Game Changers from a broad variety of industries in two days. We currently focus on Automotive, Banking, Retail, E-Commerce, FMCG, Mobile, Media, Entertainment, Advertising, Travel, Tourism and Health Care.

Our Speakers Policy

We are out and about to publish the Call for Participation for next year's edition of the next conference. Preparing for this, I wrote down the principles guiding the invitation of speakers. You may want to read this if you are planning to apply.

  • In principle, there are three ways to get on the next stage: Speakers can be proposed by other people, apply for themselves or speak in the context of sponsorship. Learn more about your sponsoring opportunities.
  • Speakers at next conference are not paid to speak. They share their experience and insights, and come to meet the next community.
  • Speakers are asked not to do any commercial pitch, and focus on ideas sharing.
  • We ask speakers to be present during the two days of the conference. We try to avoid inviting speakers who will only come for the duration of their speech as next is first and foremost about creating networking between all the participants.
  • In the interest of all the participants, we are pretty strict with the time allotted to presentations and will as smoothly as possible cut a presentation that goes beyond the time limit.
  • Speakers agree that their talk will be recorded and videos put online for free download and viewing.
  • We try to pay plane tickets and travel expenses to speakers who need it and do not work for organisations that can cover the costs.
