Marco Hauprich, Deutsche Post
After receiving his degree in Industrial Design at the University of Wuppertal in Germany, Marco Hauprich was the owner and managing director of the multimedia firm EigenArt, where he specialized in internet, CD-ROM and CAD. During his seven years as Senior Project Manager at Deutsche Telekom AG, he managed many innovative online applications that received renowned awards (Red Dot, Econ Award, DDC, New York Festivals, etc.). He was the project manager responsible for the relaunch of the Deutsche Telekom AG corporate website and intranet.
Since October 2007, Marco Hauprich has worked as the Vice President of New Technologies in the MAIL Marketing Business Department for Deutsche Post AG. Together with his team, he identifies new trends and technologies, reviews them for potential business opportunities and manages the resulting projects from inception to implementation. The focus is on generating new products and services in the digital age. Some of the products created include e.g. the Web-To-Print Solution "Titelhelden" (Title Characters) and "Handyporto", a simple cell phone program for franking letters and postcards. Handyporto won the "German Industry Innovation Award," the "Land of Ideas" award and the "World Mail Award."
