As Head of Mobile Payments, Holger Spielberg currently drives all product and business activities on payment mobility at Paypal Deutschland. Holger brings more than 15 years of experience in leading positions in industries such as telematics, telecommunications and mobile services. In his previous position, he was Vice President, International Development and Licensed Solution at @Road, an ASP for internet-based fleet & mobile resource management.

Prior to joining Paypal, Holger has been actively engaged in starting and spinning off young companies in various areas including IT, mobile services, water treatment, and biotech. He contributed as co-founder, business angel, interims executive and advisor. Before returning to his home country of Germany Holger built and grew a consulting practice in the US as Managing Partner and Vice President, Strategy & Innovation for Detecon, a global technology and business consultancy focused on telecommunication.

Holger is a member of the German-American Business Association and the Atlantik-Brücke (Atlantic Bridge). He holds a degree as Diplom-Ingenieur from Technical University Dresden, Germany and attended business administration courses at the University of California San Diego and Georgia Tech.
