Prof. Dr. Klemens Skibicki completed his studies at the University of Cologne with a diploma in business administration and a second one in Economics in 1997. He spent the next years working on his dissertation about the Industrialization of Upper Silesia in the 18th and 19th Century, receiving summa cum laude in 2001. Since 2004 Skibicki teaches as a Professor for Marketing and Marketing Research at the Cologne Business School. Additionally, Skibicki is the scientific director of the „Deutsches Institut für Kommunikation und Recht im Internet“(DIKRI). Using the perspective of an economic historian helped him to uncover the patterns of the Social Media Revolution like before in the case of the Industrial Revolution. As a pioneer in Social Media, he wrote 6 books and is the Co-Founder of Brain Injection, a consulting company with a digital strategy focus. Combining theoretical and practical expertise, Skibicki consults mid-sized and large companies and frequently appears as a moderator and speaker concerning Social Media. In 2011 he co-founded the Starmeo GmbH, serving to be an intermediary of stars and companies concerning campaigns especially in Social Media.
