Thomas Strerath, 46, is certainly one of the most disputatious and innovative agency executives.

With his ideas and initiatives, he does not only provoke fierce discussions in the industry, but constantly pushes back its boundaries and shapes the self-understanding of advertising agencies.

He buried 360 degree campaign thinking and identified the consumer as a cat - rather than a dog.

As group CEO of Ogilvy & Mather Germany he has consequently forced the digitization of the Ogilvy group and precisely re-positioned the Ogilvy brands.

He started his career with Ogilvy & Mather as managing director of the Frankfurt dialogue-marketing agency OgilvyOne in February 2005. At the beginning of 2006 he was named CEO of OgilvyOne in Germany and in October 2007 he also assumed responsibilities as COO (Chief Operating Officer) for Ogilvy & Mather in Frankfurt. He is a member of the Ogilvy & Mather EAME Executive Committee and initiator of the GWA working group on digital communication. From October 2010 to October 2011 he was Vice President of the GWA (association of German communications agencies).
