Maps were traditionally used only for finding directions from A to B. Today they are linked and combined with a variety of others services. In parallel with these developments, digital mapping has also evolved.

What used to be very abstract 2D maps are now almost photorealistic representations of the world. This evolution is mostly driven by advances in technology. At NEXT Berlin 2012 Aaron Rincover focussed on this development and talked about the future of maps.
