Scoopcamp – the conference for online media kicks off on September 13

scoopcamp is an innovation-led conference for online media, taking place on September 12 - and we have two free tickets to give away…

This September – for the fifth time – Hamburg@work and Deutsche Presse-Agentur (dpa) will host scoopcamp. At this innovation conference for online media, more than 250 experts, decision makers, IT and media experts will discuss future trends and the latest developments in the fields of data journalism, social media and new storytelling. On September 13 the conference will kick off at Schmidt Theatre and continue at other locations near the well-known ‘Hamburger Reeperbahn’!

International speakers – like Charles Lewis, the founder of The Center for Public Integrity, Daily Dot’s CEO Nicholas White and Tomas Rawlings, the Design and Production Director at Auroch Digital – will attend  scoopcamp to inspire you with exciting talks. In six additional parallel tracks, numerous workshops will help you to gain practical experiences and new insights.

On September 12, the day before the scoopcamp starts, the scoopcamp Hackathon will bring together programmers, online journalists and designers – in 24 hours they will develop digital media projects in all in all six project teams. Scoopcamp is still looking for some helping hands, who are interested in programming or who would like to give editorial input or gain new contacts and inspiration. The main theme will be “New Storytelling on the Reeperbahn“. If you are interested in supporting the project teams, please get in touch with the scoopcamp team at www.scoopcamp.de/Hackathon.

In cooperation with the scoopcamp, NEXT Service Design will be raffling two free tickets for the conference! To be in with a chance of winning, reserve your seat and drop us a line with your contact details and the subject “Ticket scoopcamp” at [email protected]! Deadline is September 4. Good Luck!
