The goal of WIRED2013 is to bring the values of WIRED magazine to life and gather pioneering speakers from around the world, to stimulate debate, spread ideas and to showcase the future.

The conference really is a ‘must go’, and offers a great two-day programme. For example, you’ll have a chance to hear Icelandic singer-songwriter and music innovator Björk, who turned an album into an interactive music app. Also in the lineup:

• Technology pioneer and creator of a popular ‘fake’ online persona Kevin Ashton, also known for inventing the term ‘The Internet of Things’

• British cosmologist and astrophysicist Sir Martin Rees who has been Astronomer Royal since 1995

The conference is organised by WIRED, which is recognised as the multimedia authority on the future of print and digital. Since its launch in 2009, WIRED has won a host of awards including the BSME Editor of the Year Award for Special Interest Magazines in 2012.
