  • Technology pioneer and creator of a popular ‘fake’ online persona Kevin Ashton, also known for inventing the term ‘The Internet of Things’

  • Leading Chinese concert pianist Lang Lang who partnered with Google and YouTube to assemble the first-ever online collaborative orchestra, the YouTube Symphony Orchestra

  • MIT Media Lab expert Rosalind Picard who will show how computers can read human emotions

  • British cosmologist and astrophysicist Sir Martin Rees who has been Astronomer Royal since 1995

  • Plus many, many more. You will find an overview of the whole programme here.

The conference is organised by WIRED, which is recognised as the multimedia authority on the future of print and digital. Since its launch in 2009, WIRED has won a host of awards including the BSME Editor of the Year Award for Special Interest Magazines in 2012. The conference WIRED2013 will be jointly sponsored by Telefónica.
