2. Purpose of the Call for Participation
This Call for Participation is looking for unique characters who are willing to share their experiences and discuss them with our participants in Keynote and Masterclass slots . For our Workshop slots we are looking for „Out of the Box“ formats. This may well be something outstandingly different that would trigger participants’ interaction. And for our Demo Area we are seeking stunning, never-before-seen tech examples that give people the opportunity to experience the latest digital trends for themselves.

8. Evaluation criteria
The quality of each proposal will be evaluated according to the criteria described below:

Topic Fit: Your submission should focus on our main topic “Parallelwelten”. We investigate these Parallelwelten from five different angles: global, local, technological, corporate and scientific. Please find more information about the five angles here.

No Advertisements: Your presentation should be focused on the user/human rather than on trying to sell them something.

Character: We are looking for a diverse crowd of presenters from various fields and with different backgrounds. If you have some experience of presenting in front of an interesting and demanding crowd, that’s definitely a plus.

English-Fluent: As the NEXT Audience speaks English, you should do so, too.

9. Evaluation process
The evaluation process is divided into two phases:

1) Regulation compliance
The NEXT Conference will conduct a first evaluation to check whether the proposal complies with the requirements/evaluation criteria. Proposals could be subject to additional requests for information or clarification.

2) Proposal selection
The organising committee will evaluate the proposals by topic and select:

  • Proposals for Talks/Masterclasses
  • Proposals for Panels
  • Proposals for Workshops
  • Declined proposals

The number of accepted proposals is subject to consideration by the organising committee.

Please note that only the main speaker of the submitted proposal will be eligible to present it at the conference.

The selection process will take into account the content of the proposal and the profile of the speaker who is going to deliver it at the NEXT Conference. The organisation reserves the right to accept or reject any substitution of speakers.

The speakers of selected proposals will be informed starting on June 1st 2019.
