Jessica Berlin is a foreign policy expert focusing on transatlantic relations, geopolitical order, African-European relations, and Germany’s evolving role in the world. She is a frequent commentator on DW News and her analysis has been featured by the Washington Post, BBC World Service, Tagesspiegel, ZDF (Markus Lanz), Euronews, and other media outlets worldwide. Her career has spanned 15 years in the public, private, and nonprofit sectors working with government agencies, civil society, and technology start-ups across Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East.

Berlin is Founder and Managing Director of the strategy consultancy CoStruct, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors at pan-African fintech company :brij, a Member of the Advisory Board at pan-European think tank Europa Nova, a BMW Foundation Futurity Fellow, and a Global Governance Fellow at the Robert Bosch Foundation. Her TEDx on the transatlantic democratic crisis has been described as "one of the most powerful and inspiring TED talks.” She holds an MSc in Political Economy of Emerging Markets from King's College London, a BA in International Relations from Tufts University, and speaks five languages.
