With the rise of user generated content and social media, we’ve been witnessing a decrease in attention span. People now expect to consume content quickly, on-the-go, often while multi-tasking. We call it a “culture of snap”. This new world sparked an unprecedented war for the limited resource of consumer attention.
In this session we will present the content consumption trends shaping the media world and the battle for attention between the open web and the “closed garden” platforms. We will discuss the impact of the “culture of snap” on brands and publishers, sharing unique insights, including some unexpected ones, that were gathered through data analysis of over 1B people who use Taboola’s discovery platform.
