Demystifying China’s Impact on Tech and Society
Joining our panel in this NEXT session, China economy and technology experts Rogier Creemers, Olinga Ta’eed and Melissa Chan will be trying to demystify some of the actions taken by the Chinese government and large corperations. Together they will be discussing technological progress and society impact within China and beyond.
Rogier Creemers’ main research interests lie in the interaction between law, governance and information technology in China. Olinga Ta’eed – leading thinker of the Movement of Value – was recently appointed to the 7-person China Ecommerce Blockchain Committee. And journalist Melissa Chan (The Global Reporting Centre) has previously focused on technology’s impact on authoritarian and democratic societies for The New York Times and examined artificial intelligence and the future of work as a Robert Bosch fellow.
