Monique van Dusseldorp has been involved as the international Program Director of NEXT Berlin since 2010, since 2012 working alongside Peter Bihr to define themes and speakers for the event. Monique van Dusseldorp (48) is a well-known curator of seminars and conferences on creativity, innovation, and technology. Over the last ten years she initiated and organised a series of internationally renowned events, all with a top line of speakers. She was the Program Director of PICNIC, an Amsterdam cross media festival, from 2006 to 2008, and since 2009 has been the Program Director for the Dutch iMMovator Cross Media Network, focused on changes in the broadcasting industry. She helped launch the first Wired Event in London, and she is on the board of TEDxAmsterdam and a number of other industry events, mostly in the field of media and technology.

Robert Overweg is an artist and expert in the field of Virtual Worlds. He guides some of the most leading international companies in making the digital transformation. Robert gives lectures, creates art, offers companies guidance in concept development, strategy and the execution of this.
He believes that design and technology can also facilitate in making the world a better place. Robert has developed several branches in VR. With Beyond Care the focus is on makings people’s lives better through VR. By improving treatments, reducing pain, or desensitising traumatic experiences through Virtual Reality.
As an international speaker, he asks his audience to embrace technology, but with a critical view, just like he tries to maintain.

Noortje van den Eijnde is VJ Noralie at Veejays.com. She will present her work as an example of new video culture. Veejays.com is a band of passionate visual artists based in Amsterdam. They produce visuals for clubnights, festivals, fashion shows, theatre plays and other events. Veejays.com is developing as one of the the most vibrant video art communities you’ll find anywhere.
No night out clubbing is complete without those hypnotic images projected on giant screens. And more and more, you see spectacular video backdrops and 3D creations used during concerts, business events, and television shows. This video art is created by Video Jockeys.
Rene van Engelenburg
Rene van Engelenburg is founder of Dropstuff, a design studio specialised in public screens and VR experiences. Dropstuff specialised in interactive projects for public spaces, bringing interactive experiences to a large audience. The #BigArtRide tour is their most recent project. Part of the Europeana280 campaign to launch Europeana Art History Collections – it celebrates European culture through a fun interactive installation. Delegates are invited get on their (stationary) bikes, put on virtual reality ‘Oculus Rift’ headsets, and navigate through a virtual city experiencing centuries of Europe’s art along the way.
John Ashley Burgoyne
Lecturer and Researcher, Netherlands Institute for Sound and Vision
John Ashley Burgoyne will present MineExplorer, a VR application that combines archive material with storytelling. Maarten works at the Netherlands Institute for Sound and Vision, a cultural-historical organization of national interest. It collects, preserves and opens the audiovisual heritage for as many users as possible: media professionals, education, science and the general public. In addition, the institute develops and disseminates knowledge in the area of audiovisual archiving, digitization and media history. Sound and Vision has one of the largest audiovisual archives in Europe. The collection contains more than a million hours of television, radio, music and film from the beginning in 1898 until today. The Institute plays a leading role in creative archive use – they work on making music databases searchable.

Besides their main imprint, Spinnin' Records hosts approximately forty sub-labels. It meteoric rise in the industry was fuelled by a hugely succesful online strategy, including an open Talent Pool for aspiring music talent, and dedicated media productions for all media channels. This has amongst others resulted in close to 15 million Youtube subscribers (best watched video: 850 million views)

Theo Gevers). Following the dreams to turn research into practice, Sezer is passionate about bringing artificial intelligence to consumer daily life.
