Born in Australia, (James-)Alexander Dewhirst travelled the world for 6 years, living and studying in Athens, London, New York and San Francisco before finally finding a home in Berlin. After 10 years in the design and advertising industries, and a stint of teaching at Potsdam Polytechnic, his experience has brought him to “business design”. To date, he has created such diverse companies as Designerdock, a recruitment agency for the creative industries with 8 offices in three countries, and Culturesafe, which produces cultural archiving systems for communities.
