Alexander Rösner studied Information Technology at the Technical University of Karlsruhe and completed his degree in 2003, graduating as a Diplom-Informatiker (Master of Computer Science). Whilst completing his studies, Rösner founded the internet provider Schlund + Partner, which later merged with United Internet AG. Subsequently Rösner became a director at 1&1 Puretec, an internet page and domain registration provider. In December 2003 he founded Gameforge with Klaas Kersting and is now leading the international games publisher as CEO. After taking over competitor Frogster in 2011, the Gameforge group forms one of the largest online games publishers in the Western world. Rösner developed Gameforge’s first product: browser game Ogame.
