Andrea Anderheggen studied Philosophy and Corporate Finance in Zurich before founding an number of successful companies such as APMC and Sofort.com. 

His greatest success is the current company Shopgate. Today approximately 80% of all mobile shopping apps in the German app store have been developed and are maintained using the SaaS platform of Shopgate. With more than 1.200 paying retailers, 2.1 million visitors per month and compound monthly growth rate of 35% in 2012 Shopgate has become the market leader for M-Commerce solutions in retail.

Besides it's M-Commerce Technology Shopgate offers a unique range of mobile sales channels and innovation such as QR-Shopping, push marketing, mobile couponing. 

Since it's market launch in 2011 Shopgate has won several awards such as the IT Innovation Award at the CEBIT 2011 and the Red Herring Global Top-100 in Los Angeles, November 2012.
