Since 2015, Arne Wolter works as Chief Digital Officer at Gruner + Jahr and is responsible for the further expansion and growth of the company’s digital business and digital transformation.
The industrial engineering graduate was born in 1974. He completed his studies with MBA degree from the University of Rhode Island, USA.
After his first professional stations at G+J, he switched to arvato mobile, where he started the company’s B2B business and eventually rose to the position of vice president B2B/B2C and member of the management. In 2007, Arne Wolter returned to G+J as Managing Director of G+J EMS and took over the management of the acquired Ligatus GmbH in 2008. As CDO of Gruner + Jahr, Arne Wolter is furthermore responsible for G+J Digital Products, Chefkoch, M&A, the Digital Ventures Fonds, the InnovationLab Greenhouse as well as Growth Projects & Strategic Partnerships.
