Astrid Maier is Editor in Chief at Xing, the leading business network for German speaking communities. Prior to joining Xing, Astrid was Chief Reporter and founding member of ada, the new tech and educational platform at Handelsblatt Media Group. Before that Astrid was Companies & Markets & Innovation Desk Editor at WirtschaftsWoche, Germany's largest business magazine.

She started her journalistic career at Financial Times Deutschland and worked as Tech Editor for Manager Magazin. She is a 2016 John S Knight Fellowship alumn at Stanford University and the co-founder of Dverse Media, a platform aiming to spur innovation through diversity in journalism.
