With over 10 years of experience in business journalism and newsroom leadership, Astrid Maier is a Journalist & Strategist who is passionate about the future of work and technology. She is currently on a break after contributing to the leadership team and serving as the editor in chief at XING, the leading jobs network in German-speaking countries.

Astrid Maier's work has centered around delivering high-impact communication that informs, inspires, and engages diverse audiences across multiple platforms. As a John S Knight Fellow at Stanford University, she learned how to apply design thinking to journalism and innovation, and she has been using this approach to explore the true needs of her users and stakeholders ever since. She is also committed to promoting diversity and democracy in her field and beyond, with the goal of offering perspectives that allow others to see the world from unexpected angles.
