As Managing Director Bastian Scherbeck manages the German location of the international digital agency We Are Social. His skilled team advises clients like Beats by Dre, Cisco, Lenovo, Liebherr, Metro, Mondelez, Playmobil and TomTom on strategic as well as creative questions and thereby focuses on the ROI led use of digital trends.
Bastian Scherbeck studied media and theater studies as well as art history at the University Erlangen/Nürnberg with a subsequent research fellowship by DFG (German Research Foundation) before he began his career at the interdisciplinary agency achtung! in Hannover. Here, as a consultant, he developed social media strategies for clients such as eBay, mobile.de and Vapiano. At the same time he was responsible for establishing social media competences within the agency by collaborating across teams.
Afterwards he significantly advanced the construction of BMW’s global social media strategy. First as Head of Social Media at the agency vi knallgrau, then as Senior Manager Social Media at the agency iCrossing. Since April 2011, as Managing Director, he is responsible for the strategic development of the global social media agency We Are Social in Germany.
