Ben Hammersley is a British creative technologist and journalist. Based in London, he is Editor at Large of WIRED and Head of Digital at SIX Creative, bringing cutting edge digital technologies to international high-fashion brands.

Previously he has been a broadcaster, journalist and war correspondent for the BBC, the Guardian, and The Times, reporting from Afghanistan, Iran, Beirut and many other places. He has written six books on web technologies, and is credited with the creation of the word "Podcast" by the Oxford English Dictionary. He is a consultant to the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, and others, and speaks internationally on technology and culture. He has lived previously in China, Sweden, and Italy, and likes to box in his spare time.
