Benjamin Rabe grew up in the realm of HP-Calculators, Activision games, and Beaker. He painted his first 4-part-series of comics at the age of 12, started programming Pascal and Assembler on his Atari 600XL at the age of 14. He studied Physics and Math for 2 years and switched to Graphic-Design later.
FIngerpainting on mobile devices since late 2009, he has been included in several national and international art-shows and was featured in several print publications. In 2011 he organized the worldwide first appearance of mobile digital art in a fine-art museum, the MK&G in Hamburg.
Benjamin publishes and maintains fingerpainted.it, a blog about the theme, which hosts an extensive gallery of artists who work on digital devices. He is also founding board member of The International Organization of Mobile Digital Artists, iAMDA.org and is part of an international group that organized the MobileArtConference {mobileartcon.com} in New York 2010 and 2011.
Benjamin lives in Hamburg and works as a freelance UX-designer including projects like qype, projektwerk and dpa-newslab.
