Benjamin is a passionate Founder and experienced Managing Director in the digital media space for more than 12 years now. He founded his recent startup after more than 6 months of preparation in January 2014 and already received honors: 3rd @ Gründergeist 2014. METAFOTO will be a platform for digital photos, focusing on aggregating and making use of metadata to provide a better photo search and helping to democratize photo trading.
Before that he was travelling throughout South America and India for several months, after quitting his six and a half years of work as Managing Director of uniquedigital, one of the leading independent online media agency in Germany. Prior to this he helped eLab, the Holtzbrinck incubator, with some projects following his first startup Mobiloco, which he founded 2002 as one of the first location based services providers. Before that he managed the p2p auction platform of ricardo.de and served as a Business Developer and Sales Manager at Bertelsmann´s led Premiere PayTV. 1995 he finished his studies of Business Administration at the University of Saarbrücken as a Diplom-Kaufmann.
