When I was young, my Dad setup an internet service provider. This gave me good insight into the low level mechanics of the internet. I setup an internet radio station, and went to uni wanting to become a DJ and MC, studying media and comms. After realising that this was a foolhardy choice, I fell into sales, eventually helping to run the family business. I then worked for a business2business Internet service provider, setting up their wholesale channel in a joint venture with O2. I led this from inception to revenues of £2.5m. During this time, I observed the Internet of things trend, changing in consumption of music and commoditisation of headphones, Audiowings sits at the intersection of these trends.
