Céline Lazorthes is the CEO of Leetchi.com, the company she founded in 2009, when she was only 26 years old and still in Business School. In three years, Leetchi.com has become Europe’s leading service for online group payments and group gifting and today counts more than 500.000 users. The service enables any group of people (i.e. friends, family, co-workers…) to collect money online for any occasion (i.e. a gift for a birthday or a wedding, a trip among friends, a party…). The collected amount may be transferred to a bank account or be spent in one of Leetchi’s numerous partner stores.

The mission behind Leetchi: Making payments social. This is why the service is based on its very own banking API, which also enables any other social service (i.e. crowdfunding platforms) to handle online or mobile payments. Today, Leetchi.com has raised more than 5 million Euros from notable investors, is available in 3 languages and employs 21 people. Céline is very engaged in France’s startup scene and is a founding member of France Digitale, its lobbying organisation. She is also a regular speaker at conferences in France and abroad, most recently at NOAH in London in December 20
