Christian Wegner founded in 2004 the Internet platform momox.de where private users can sell and buy used books, cds or dvds. At the beginning of 2006, Momox was the first German company for re-commerce.

In 2010, other investors joined the company. Company founder Wegner reduced his stake to 67 percent.

Christian Wegner left the company he founded in August 2019. In October 2019 Wegner surprisingly left his company completely and sold his shares to the new majority owner Verdane Capital from Norway.

In August 2021, Christian went online with his new founded start-up Wisemarkt, a platform in re-commerce.

2022, Christian Wegner is investing in the start-up for luxury second-hand fashion. He will reportedly invest a seven-figure sum in the company.
