Cornelius Puschmann is a postdoctoral researcher and lecturer at the University of Düsseldorf who studies digital communication in institutional settings and the ways in which the Internet is changing higher education.

Cornelius studied English and Information Science at the University of Düsseldorf and UC Berkely before completing his PhD on the linguistic and communicative dynamics of corporate blogging in 2009. He has worked with NGOs such as Creative Commons and the Open Knowledge Foundation to make scientific data more broadly accessible and enjoys printing large, colorful graphs in his spare time.
