Dr. Ivan Poupyrev is an award-winning designer, scientist, and entrepreneur. Currently, he is the CEO and founder of Archetype AI, a deep tech Silicon Valley startup that seeks to build a foundational AI model that can perceive, understand, and reason about the physical world, an emerging direction known as "Physical AI." A former technology executive at Google and a research scientist at Disney Imagineering and Sony, he holds over 100 US patents and over 100 publications in highly prestigious scientific conferences. His contributions have been recognized with prestigious awards, including the National Design Award, Cannes Lion Grand Prix, SXSW Innovation Award, and many others. A TED speaker, Ivan was named "one of the best interaction designers in the world" by Fast Company and his work was enshrined in the permanent collection of the Smithsonian Cooper-Hewitt Design Museum.
