Jan Mechtel grew up in East Berlin. During his studies of International Business at the ESCP Europe in London, Paris and Berlin, he absolved internships in multinational renowned companies (Merrill Lynch, McKinsey & Company). Qualified in business studies, he worked as a team manager in financial controlling for four years for the software company Ableton AG amplifying his commercial knowledge considerably. His English is fluent in word and speech and not only his stays abroad led to numerous international contacts in the field of software development. After work he used to work as a free-lance programmer, leading several small software projects and continuously deepeing his programming knowledge. A true Excel wizard, bicyclist and beach volleyball enthusiast, he is home from the office each day in time to play with his infant son.
