Miranda leads the ODI’s research and development programme which uses applied research and design methodology to look into how data can create the next generation of public and private services. Key topics include data and trust, data innovation and data as infrastructure.

Her background is in design with a personal research focus on the impact of engineering practices on medical artificial intelligence applications. Miranda is also director of AXNS Collective, an interdisciplinary organisation bringing together art, neuroscience and technology.
