Miriam Meckel, PhD, is the Founding Publisher of ada, an education initiative focused on the future of work and socio-technological change. Previously she served as Editor-in-chief and Publisher of WirtschaftsWoche, Germany’s leading weekly business magazine.

She has been a Professor of Corporate Communication at the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland since 2005, was a Faculty Associate at the Harvard Berkman Klein Center for Internet & Society and a Visiting Professor at the Singapore Management University for several years. From 2000-2005, she served as State Secretary for Media and European Affairs at the State Government of North Rhine-Westphalia.

Throughout her more than two decades of work on media, communication, and digital transformation, she published numerous books, scientific papers, journalistic articles, and received the Cicero Speaker Award in the category “Science”.
