Phil was born in 1989 in Northern Germany as the youngest of three children of an engineer and a computer scientist.

After attending school in Germany, the USA and the UK he moved to Beijing on his own at the age of 16 and became one of the first Westerners to graduate from Chinese Senior High School.

In 2008 he got his German Abitur as best in class and enrolled at WHU - Otto Beisheim School of Management where he became a fellow of the German National Academic Foundation (Studienstiftung).

What Phil loves most about his job is working with his incredibly talented colleagues whose determination and creativity are his most important inspiration. Building SquadMail together with them is his dream come true.
