Renaud Visage is the founding CTO of Eventbrite, the leading self service ticketing platform that has processed nearly 100 million tickets worldwide. With engineering degrees from Cornell University (USA) and Ecole Centrale de Lyon (France), Renaud started his career as an environmental consultant. Fascinated by the Internet, Renaud joined, as the Director of Engineering, Internet photo-sharing pioneer, Zing Networks which was funded by Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers and later acquired by Sony ImageStation. In 2006, he joined forces with Kevin & Julia Hartz to found Eventbrite. Eventbrite enables people all over the world to plan, promote, and sell out any event. With funding from Tiger Global, Sequoia Capital, DAG Ventures, and Tenaya Capital, Eventbrite announced in 2012 that it had sold more than $1 billion in gross ticket sales in 179 countries. Eventbrite is aggressively expanding internationally and currently offers localized versions in 14 markets and in 7 languages. Renaud has spoken publicly at conferences, including the Dublin Web Summit, Midem, DLD, HyBerlin, etc.
