Robert has 20 years of experience in the IT industry with the focus on high-volume eCommerce systems across markets like telecommunication, gaming, travel, re-tail and cross-cutting markets for archiving & document management. He is VP Architecture & Standards at Deutsche Telekom AG acting also as Chief Architect. Current focus of his work is on establishing a matching architectural and organizational setup in an internationally agile distributed software development environment with the focus on time2market and flexibility. Before Telekom he was ChiefArchitect at bwin responsible for the SOA initiatives, introducing EnterpriseArchitecture, stabilizing operations, transforming towards agile development and developing a poker system based on an Event Driven Architecture fit to run 250000 concurrent players. He was 2003-2006 with Amadeus responsible for the scale-out of the B2B business of the eCommerce platforms including the capability to deploy 300+ changes on 300+ application server instances with defined change categories with different deploy cycles and a very stringent change management process.
