Sven Parusel is Senior Vice President for Academia & Research at Franka Robotics, where he drives global partnerships with universities and research institutions to advance human-centric robotics and embodied AI. A co-founder and former Chief Engineer of Franka Emika, Sven played a pivotal role in developing the award-winning, sensitive robotic arm that redefined accessibility and usability in robotics.
Together with his colleagues, he received the German Future Prize (2017) for pioneering intuitive and affordable robotic assistants. Before co-founding Franka, he worked as a researcher at the German Aerospace Center (DLR), contributing to the evolution of torque-controlled lightweight robots.
