Andy Polaine is an independent design leadership coach, consultant, educator, trainer, and writer who assists clients in building and expanding their design and innovation capabilities to facilitate transformation within their organizations and personal development.

Previously, he held the position of Group Design Director of Client Evolution at Fjord, where he played a global role in sharing Fjord's extensive design and innovation expertise to help clients enhance their capabilities, foster growth, and transform their organizations. Additionally, Andy co-authored Fjord's 2019 and 2020 Trends.

He is also a co-author of the Rosenfeld Media book, "Service Design: From Insight to Implementation," and holds the title of Rosenfeld Expert. With almost 30 years of experience in design and innovation, Andy has worked with clients across various industries, including financial services, public services, insurance, healthcare, telecommunications, automotive, media, design, and education. He holds a PhD from the University of Technology, Sydney, and co-leads the Masters of Service Design program at the Hochschule Luzern.
