Axel Schmiegelow is a serial entrepreneur from Europe, focused on the web, social media, and software.

Axel was the co-founder of several game-changing startups in Europe, including the IPTV platform sevenload, social travel company itravel, retail travel software company webtravel and the first online bookmarking service, oneview. His investment company dw capital also was the co-founding Angel investor in Europe’s leading online review company Qype and a number of other innovative startups. MIT is a shareholder in dw capital.

He is also a Chairman representative of several tech and media Associations in Germany and is on the Broadcasting Council of WDR Group, Germany’s public TV. He Co-founded Germany’s leading independent interactive agency denkwerk.

Axel is considered an expert in marketing, social media and entrepreneurship. He is a regular keynote speaker at leading industry events. Axel studied Law at the Sorbonne and completed an executive Program at MIT
