Dr. Tilman Buchner is Head of Center for Mobile Products & Services at Scout24 and Head of User Lifecycle Management & Product Engineering at AutoScout24.
In his positions he is responsible for the entire mobile app lifecycle at AutoScout24 and supervises the mobile topic as well on a Scout24 corporate level in close collaboration with ImmobilienScout24, FriendScout24 and Scout24 Services. With more than 10 million downloads the Scout24 apps are ranked among the most successful iPhone, iPad as well as Android applications in Europe. Buchner is an expert in mobile IT technologies and a thought leader in how to monetize the mobile internet. He focuses in his work on customer value driven development and the smart combination of outstanding interaction design, gamification pattern and high performance native programming. Beside the mobile team he manages a team of >15 designers and usability experts and leads the private customer segment at AutoScout24.
Parallel to his work at Scout24 and AutoScout24, he is Founder and CEO of friends4school, Germany’s first crowd funding platform for schools and highly engaged in social entrepreneurship. Previously to his current positions he was with Roland Berger Strategy Consultants.

Tilman Buchner received a Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Aachen Technical University and holds a master`s degree in business administration. Studies aboard at Seoul National University as well as Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) have shaped his academic career.
